2024 MASTERCLASSES, PRESENtations...

Masterclasses are New for 2024 and there's a great selection to choose from. These special sessions are conducted in an intimate setting and offer a little French indulgence to inspire you. Presented by masters in their field these sessions are a great opportunity to hear from the best of the best.

 

Free Presentations return this year and there's a new selection for you to choose from. Each presenter brings a wealth of knowledge as they share their insights and experiences.

AN INTRODUCTION TO FASHION DRAWING

Fashion illustrator Susan Kerian leads this one hour Masterclass in the basics of fashion drawing. Her love of Paris and France shines through Susan’s beautiful illustrations - they provide a connection to a culture that is stylish and unique.

 

In this Masterclass, Susan will guide you, step by step through the process to create a fashion drawing of your own to take home. All materials provided.

A look at the French Revolution: a wild time when the peasants decided they were done with cake crumbs and royal indifference! Marie Antoinette’s infamous "Let them eat cake" only fuelled their fire as they stormed the Bastille. Enjoy a quick romp through the fascinating last days of the Ancien-Régime, and explore the display of ‘people-power’ that laid the foundation for the future democracies of the world. Paul will illustrate his talk with many images and a number of 18th-century items that illustrate this fascinating topic. Includes severed heads and bad puns: The French are Revolting...

Paint & Restore with Family Founded

Sharon from Family Founded shares her expertise in breathing new life into vintage and antique furniture. Her work has featured in Country Style magazine and numerous international publications.

 

In this one-hour masterclass, she will share her knowledge and demonstrate how to restore these pieces and the products she uses. Sharon will also touch on how to style and photograph.

The French Teacher and Her Lavender

Judy Comley taught French and wrote French textbooks for many years and found that her lavender field on the family farm was a great way to unwind.

Over the years, she became extremely knowledgeable about growing and harvesting lavender and its many uses.

Judy will share her insights and her personal experiences with this plant that we all associate with France.

Talei Kenyon, Director of The Diggers Foundation, Australia’s garden charity will speak about the Foundation’s work, preserving and growing from heirloom seeds and the link with heirloom seeds and the Annual Chateau La Bourdaisiere Tomato Festival held in Montlouis sur Loire, France. She will also talk about The Diggers Foundation mission to encouraging Australian gardeners to grow towards a sustainable future.
